The graphic model defines the domains concepts and constructs in terms of visuals. Its ultimate objective is to implement graphics specifications of the domain imagery specified in the linguistic model of an SVG repository
Performed by : Graphic Designer - Maintained with : Symbology and Context Designer in Studio Publisher
The Symbology is the construct that represents a virtual svg document composed of static visual elements namely the shapes, symbols and text clustered in an independent re-usable entity put into different contexts. The visual elements it contains are :
Shapes : Archetypal, compound or path shape create forms through shaping in the symbol and symbology designer
Symbols : Shaped or imported symbols pooled from a freely available resource of symbol catalogs in the platform
Text : Undecorated plain text, shaped text (follows form perimeter) or font decorated text (TTF) from google fonts
The Context is the construct that is a dynamic instance of a symbology (composition) which gives it dynamic attributes to append multiple backgrounds, article text, visual effects, animation and link elements providing information and interactive behavior with a navigation mechanism through imagery of the domain. These dynamics attributes are referred to as :
Link Element : Visual element in a composition wrapped with a hyper link to a context as a navigational mechanism
Article : A substantial body of stylized text which can be appended to and positioned within a graphics composition
Background : Multiple compositions can be positioned and scaled to be used as backgrounds for the composition.
Behavior : Visual elements can be decorated with effects or animated over a time line when triggered by an event
